Jay and Nina are fed up with their lives in Europe: no matter what they do they seem to get into trouble. In attempting to explore their freedom and taste the flavour of liberty they visit Cape Town and encounter a hippie festival with the Rastafarian Rhys. There, Nina and Jay become embroiled in an adventure they could never have imagined, taking them deep into the South African bush. Entangled in the plight of a village in the face of Chinese prospectors and government officials, they are thrown into scenarios where they have to explore the depths of their souls for the answers. This striking novel is Pepita Schwanbeck's debut as a writer on the literary stage of this world. She went to study 'Creative Writing' at Royal Holloway, University of London, one of Europe's best Universities for this subject. Born in Berlin the Londoner by choice travels a lot to find inspiration and learn about any culture she might like to write about first. "Everyday is an adventure." she says.
