By examining historical documents, contemporary accounts, and original empirical material through a combination of actor-network-theory, ecology, and sound studies scholarship, he embraces, in a stylistically embodied and often poetic manner, the sonic urban world in all its fragile, ephemeral, yet deeply affective sonority.

Marvin Heine ist Umweltsoziologe und Doktorand an der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Sein Interesse gilt den Sinnen, ihrer Phänomenologie, ihren Vermittlungen und ihrer Politik. Seine Forschung konzentriert sich auf den Einfluss der Sinneswahrnehmung auf Sozialisationsprozesse sowie auf die geschichtliche und sensorisch vermittelte Transformation von Mensch-Umwelt-Systemen.
