Beschreibung

The craziest stories are written by life, as the saying goes. The story of Mefa Daemgen confirms this, because that is exactly the kind of crazy story he has to tell. Everything starts with the autobiography of Howard Marks, the splendid ex-dope dealer and agent from England, which came into the hands of the Bavarian-born author. The lost false passport of a certain Mr Nice (an assumed identity of Howard Marks) mentioned in the book stirs his spirit of adventure. And so, together with his wife and his small child, he begins to search for the passport. This leads him to Campione in Switzerland, and in the end directly to Howard Marks. Fluke or fate? At any rate a story written by life.

Autor*in

Mefa Dämgen
Mefa Dämgen, born in 1966 in Munich, grew up in idyllic Lower Bavaria as the son of a master craftsman and a wholesaler. At the age of 15 he followed in his father’s footsteps and started an apprenticeship as a craftsman. Between the ages of 17 and 34, he dedicated himself to squash, from 1988 to 1990 he played as a pro in Germany, Austria and France. At that time he was engaged in literature, poetry and short stories. In his mid-thirties he finished his business studies in order to make a living from it (at first). After achieving his business degree he wrote presentations for firms, technical reports for management and reviews for various projects. His strengths lie (not only) in humour and entertainment, which he conveys to the reader with a sharp pen. Mefa Dämgen is a time traveller, straightforward and multi-talented, concerning any new projects as well as challenges. The centre of his life is somewhere between Munich, Lower Bavaria and Cologne.
