He allegedly poisoned and dismembered her, hiding her remains under the basement floor. Crippen then fled to North America with his lover - and was the first person to be caught using the wireless telegraph.
But what really happened on the night she died? A dramatisation of Emlyn William's book "Dr Crippen's Diary" - interspersing facts with an imagining of his feelings as events unfold in the lead up to his final entry before he was hung.
