This book innovatively explores various facets of European integration, whereby the unifying theme is the EU�s actornessin international affairs. Four individual dimensions of its actorness are explored - the EU�s legitimacy, its external recognition, its attractiveness, and its power to frame policy. These four dimensions are explored both theoretically and in the context of several empirical case studies.
