Development of a database to consider multi wear mechanisms within chip forming simulation

Beschreibung

The objective of this research is the development of a database that consists of different tool wear models in order to consider multi wear mechanisms and that can be integrated into the chip forming simulation to enable the prediction of tool wear due to the cutting process by simulation. The developed database can be seen as one module of an integrated database that in a long-term should enable the general simulative modeling of a cutting process considering all its input parameters in order to predict all its output parameters.
