In this book, innovations in the education system are discussed and exemplary developments and projects from Finland and Germany are compared. On the one hand, the focus is on current research results, while on the other hand, examples of good practice from both countries describe remarkable ways of implementation and provide creative suggestions for one's own educational work. These are based on the experience of ten years of international cooperation between two teacher-training university locations.

Dr. Silke Trumpa ist Professorin im Fachbereich Pflege und Gesundheit an der Hochschule Fulda und hat die Studiengangsleitung Bachelor Berufspädagogik Gesundheit inne. Ihre Arbeitsschwerpunkte sind: finnisches Bildungssystem, Implementierung von Innovationen im Bildungswesen, Organisationsentwicklung, Berufspädagogik Gesundheit, Didaktik der Erwachsenenbildung, Elternpartizipation und qualitative Sozialforschung.

Zusammenfassend lässt sich sagen, dass hier ein interessantes und lesenswertes Buch vorliegt, welches in englischer Sprache verfasst wurde. Es handelt es sich eher nicht um «klassische» Ausbildungslektüre, sondern das Buch wendet sich (spätestens ab dem zweiten Teil) an Personen, die sich mit Schulentwicklung beschäftigen und Interesse an der Entwicklung von neuartigen Formaten für die schulische Praxis besitzen. Das Buch ist eine Einladung zum Austausch und die Herausgebenden und die Autorinnenund Autoren machen den Anfang, indem sie von ihren mannigfaltigen Erfahrungen berichten.
