Dialogue and Ethics in Buddhism and Hinduism

This documentation presents contributions by leading representatives of Buddhism and Hinduism throughout the world. They originated as public lectures held by the Dalai Lama at the Hamburg Congress Center, by Samdhong Rinpoche and Forum Humanum visiting professors Sallie B. King and Anantanand Rambachan at the Academy of World Religions of Hamburg University. All of them provide a strong impetus to reflect how both Buddhism and Hinduism approach questions of religion, dialogue and society.

Dr. Carola Roloff ist Senior Researcher im Bereich Buddhismus des Forschungsprojekts „Religion und Dialog in modernen Gesellschaften“ der Akademie der Weltreligionen der Universität Hamburg und Hauptverantwortliche für ein DFG-Forschungsprojekt zur buddhistischen Nonnenordination. Schwerpunkte: Buddhismus und Dialog in der Moderne, kontextuelle dialogische Theologie, buddhistische Nonnenordination und Forschung zu Gendertheorien.
