The Doctoral Thesis looks into the way in which African Benedictine Monks can respond to the call of Jesus to his disciples: “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them; for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven” (Mt 19:14). It intends to examine the message found in Mt 19:13-15 as a special call to the followers of Jesus today in the context of youth ministry in the Monastery of the African Benedictines of Hanga in Archdiocese of Songea, Tanzania.
