This book deals with the integration of mobile devices in technology enhanced learning environments under special consideration of the concepts of activity structuring and activity monitoring, as increased usage of mobile and ubiquitous devices in learning contexts calls for adapted conceptual and architectural approaches. This work is rooted in applied computer science, involving subjects like cooperative and learning support technologies, human-computer interaction, software engineering and distributed systems, and combines research areas such as AIED (Artificial Intelligence in Education), CSCL (Computer-Supported Collaborative Learning) and Mobile Learning.
