This book aims to investigate the expressivity of the two-dimensional Superformula furnished with one additional independent parameter, via numerical simulations, implemented using the programming language R.
The simulation method was used because an exhaustive consideration of the continuous seven-dimensional parameter space not only proves to be impractical, but also unfeasible.
A wide variety of curve patterns have been simulated, exactly 1,000 in total.
This book shows, that the versatility of the generalized two-dimensional Superformula is very impressive, especially as the stochastic nature of the method applied prevented it from demonstrating the formulas full expressiveness.

During his studies and academic resp. professional activities Prof. Dr. Dr. Johann Markus Schauerhuber has been intensively involved in statistical programming, stochastic, risk theory, simulation and mathematical modeling.
Most of his professional experience has been gained in the university domain as an academic director, postdoc lecturer / researcher and in government authorities.
