The emphasis of the workshop is to continue the round table of experts from research institutes, universities, industry, network providers and radio stations to provide a forum for the exchange of new developments, ideas and applications in the respective areas. The workshop encompasses new topics related to system design, multi-media source coding, receiver and transmission technology (including Forward Error Correcting codes, Diversity Combining and Multi-Antenna Systems), field testing and service implementation of: - Broadcasting to mobile users from Ku band satellites - Hybrid broadcasting networks (Satellite/Terrestrial) in L band and S band - Digital Radio (DAB and DMB), DVB-H and Digital Broadcasting in the AM bands (DRM) - Personalized radio services and terminal devices - Broadcasting and Telematic Services The 7th Workshop Digital Broadcasting provides the opportunity to discuss and outline key research problems and to encourage future collaborations to address these problems.
