Heat and mass transfer provide the basis for the design and optimisation of all processes in high-temperature process engineering. This work examines in detail not only the fundamentals, but also, with special emphasis, applications in rotary kilns, shaft furnaces, tunnel furnaces and roller-hearth furnaces.
