Three royal brothers wage mock wars against each other in order to deceive and decimate their own population, which is threatened by famine, so that the population, which has shrunk after the wars, continues to respect and revere its own ruler and blames the alleged foreign enemies for its misery. Character traits of the three royal brothers are described - in particular the moral decline of the youngest, Eberhard, who turns from a merry philanderer into a psychopath through drinking (later through hashish consumption and sexual debauchery). Bernd Michael Grosch
Der Autor, Bernd Michael Grosch, geboren 1954 in Rheinland-Pfalz, sieht sich als eine Art 'Weltenbummler', der bereits 1973, im Alter von 18 Jahren zum ersten mal Deutschland verließ, um einen Gutteil der Erde und ihrer Bewohner kennenzulernen und fast neun Jahre in Indien zu leben. Die so gemachten Erfahrungen wurden zum Teil in mehreren Büchern verarbeitet. Seit März 2009 lebt der Autor wieder in Deutschland.
