This photo book takes you into the wonderful World of Gothic wall paintings in South Tyrol. The frescoes that are particularly worth seeing in the Dome and walls of this rare rotunda of the Church of St. George in Schenna Meran are part of the unique medieval art treasures of South Tyrol. In 71 large format, coloured and detailed photographs become the dome and wall paintings shown. The art historical description of these frescoes and a bibliography are attached to this photo book.

Peter Ertl
Ing. Peter Ertl, born in 1957, has been working in construction management since 1977. Over the decades he has been responsible for project control, construction management, construction supervision, construction cost management, costing and the tendering and awarding process for many buildings in Austria.
In his private life he is interested in art and cultural history and also uses his vacation trips through Europe for this. He is particularly interested in the building history of representative buildings (palaces, fortresses, sacred buildings, city centres) embedded in the historical context of world history and connects his hobby of landscape and architectural photography with it.
