So schrieb er schon als Junge Gedichte und Theaterstücke, die in der Schule aufgeführt wurden, und dennoch wurde seine Leidenschaft zum Schreiben oft belächelt. Seine Kindheit war hart und seine Jugend von herben Schicksalsschlägen gezeichnet. Trotz mancher Rückschläge liess sich Marc Lin nie entmutigen und schrieb weiter. Er wurde sich im Laufe der Jahre immer mehr bewusst, dass sein Lebensinhalt das Schreiben ist. Leidenschaft und Dramatik seines Lebens spiegeln sich in all seinen Arbeiten wider.
