This collection goes beyond the technical challenges of elastomer processing to include important aspects of operations management. It contains 50 thoughts on topics that have occupied me in my business life in the various positions I have held as a rubber technologist. These summarize the various exchanges I have had with experts in the industry (to whom I would like to express my sincere thanks).

Hans-Joachim Graf hat über 40 Jahre Erfahrung in der Gummiindustrie (pharmazeutische und technische Gummiteile, bei DESMA, Hersteller Gummi- und Polyurethan-Spritzgießmaschinen, RheinChemie, Gummi Chemikalien, Cooperstandard Automotive (CAN), Profilextrusion, und Woco (GE), Elastomer Spritzgiessteilen). Seit Pensionierung Berater in der Gummiindustrie und wissenschaftlicher Berater der TechnoBiz-Gruppe. Herr Graf ist Autor von über 60 Publikationen und Vorträgen und Erfinder mit mindestens 15 Patenten. Seminare an der University of Waterloo und dem DIK. Bei der ACS, der RDofACS, der GDCh und der Deutschen Kautschuk Gesellschaft (DKG) ist er Mitglied. Diplom an der Universität Mainz und Doktortitel an der Universität Freiburg, 2012 die Erich-Konrad-Medaille der DKG.
