Health Services Research in Cardiovascular Medicine
Health care is a highly valuable asset in our society - the expectations and demands on a high-quality care system are correspondingly high. Embedded in a landscape of medical and scientific progress, the understanding of diseases and their therapies is subject to constant change. In the field of tension between the best possible medical treatment and economic framework conditions, health services research places the health care of the individual in a superordinate context of the care system. Far from the idealized study collectives, our Münster working group examines the broad real-world care of cardiovascular patients on the basis of routine data from the health sectors. Primary questions deal with the effects of the application of established health measures on quantifiable quality indicators and thus the expected benefit for patients and practitioners. In addition, it records supply flows in order to show a reasonable distribution of resources, areas of growing demand and potential for optimization.

Eva Freisinger studierte Humanmedizin an der Universität Magdeburg, einschließlich Auslandsaufenthalten in den USA, der Schweiz und in Großbritannien. Klinisch ist sie seit 2012 am Universitätsklinikum Münster tätig, wo sie seit 2018 als Oberärztin in der Klinik für Kardiologie, Sektion Angiologie arbeitet. Ihr Forschungsschwerpunkt liegt in der Versorgungsforschung kardiovaskulärer Erkrankungen mit dem Schwerpunkt Gender-Medizin.
