A journey through the pits of depression, the greatest rapture and nature to silence it all.
This collection of poetry examines the pitch-black abysses of the human mind and the slow progress over the years to relief and partial contentment. The structure of the poems represents the seesaw of hope and despair which only gradually shifts to a much brighter view of the world.
This book likewise contains of poems about love, friendship, sickness, philosophy and the appreciation of nature. Furthermore they discuss the flaws of society and us as human beings and challenge societal rules and family constraints.
Simon Wenck
Simon Wenck was born in 1995 near Hamburg, Germany.
In 2016, after reading "Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close" by Jonathan Safran Foer, he knew that writing is what he needs to do.
It was a long way to go from there.
It took him several years to find his rhythm and a voice and to gain enough self-confidence to publish his work.
A major hindrance was the sudden appearance of clinical depression at the end of 2016.
This has influenced his work strongly ever since.
