This book of selected poems is like one of those ripples. It stands up and cries out against racism. A racism that does not just embody the ignorant hatred by Whites for people of colour as expressed by Cecil Rhodes — British businessman, diamond mining magnate, and politician who once controlled what are now Zimbabwe and South Africa and described Blacks as “the most despicable specimens of human beings” — but also the racism hidden beneath bogus and disingenuous proclamations of support for human rights by hypocritical and xenophobic white Europeans.
Questo libretto di poesie vuole essere una di queste onde. Esso simboleggia la ribellione e l’urlo contro il razzismo. Un razzismo che non incarna solo l'odio ignorante dei bianchi per le persone di colore, come espresso da Cecil Rhodes, uomo d'affari britannico e magnate delle miniere di diamanti e politico che a suo tempo controllava gli attuali paesi dello Zimbabwe e del Sudafrica, descrivendo i neri come “gli esemplari più spregevoli tra gli esseri umani”, ma anche il razzismo celato sotto i proclami fasulli e mendaci di sostegno ai diritti umani da parte di europei bianchi ipocriti e xenofobi.
