The method used in the following chapters of the book is referred to in mathematics as an axiomatic approach. From the analysis of empirical data of the Kepler satellite hypotheses are drawn, which are called approaches and axioms. The derived statements are formulated as sentences to which certain probabilities are assigned. All axioms and sentences lead to an overall presentation of the situation, which can then be used as a working hypothesis. Namely as a working hypothesis regarding the abundance of habitable, Earth-like planets, as well as life, intelligence and civilizations in our galaxy.
It is unprobable that we are alone in the universe.
It is more probable that we are not alone.

Klaus Piontzik
Klaus Piontzik (*1954) ist Ingenieur der Elektrotechnik, Mathematiker und Autor. Er kann auf eine etwa 30 jährige Laufbahn als Projektingenieur im industriellen Bereich und als Entwickler von Mikroprozessor-Systemen zurückblicken.
Seit 1994 hat er sich immer stärker auf elektromagnetische Felder spezialisiert, besonders im Hinblick auf das Erdmagnetfeld und seine Bedeutung für die Erde und das Leben auf ihr.
Seit 2006 kamen noch die Tätigkeiten als Autor (Gitterstrukturen des Erdmagnetfeldes, Planetare Systeme der Erde 1+2, Konvertierung DNA in Farben und Töne, Alien-Hypothese, Wahrscheinlichkeiten in der Galaxie für Leben, Intelligenz und Zivilisation) und als Webautor hinzu.
Odysseus 2013 ist nun der erste Versuch auf dem Gebiet der Prosa und Lyrik und ist eher als literarisches Experiment zu sehen.
