Barbara Gunasekaram wurde in 1967 in Australien geboren. Sie lebt seit vielen Jahren glücklich mit ihrem Mann und drei Kindern in der Schweiz.
Nebst dem Schreiben ist ihre Hauptleidenschaft Mutter-Sein. Sie liebt ihre Arbeit als Spielgruppenleiterin, die Natur und das Leben.
„Vanakkam – Kein Weg zurück“ ist ihr erster Roman. Sie hat ihn in ihrer Muttersprache Englisch geschrieben; die deutsche Übersetzung wurde gleichzeitig publiziert.
