Beschreibung

This book is intended for language learners and linguists who may want to search for unknown word forms. It is recommended to use this book alongside a proper dictionary.
Please note: this is the second book of the series "Irish Word Forms"! The book consists of two parts (Book I, letters a-g and Book II, letters h-z): Book I (letters a-g): ISBN: 978-3-7450-6650-0 Book II (letters h-z): ISBN 978-3-7450-6652-4 What are the differences between the electronic version and this set of books: - in this printed set all base forms are underlined to find them more quickly - in this printed set (in the Book II) there is an additional table with the comparison of 10 most known available dictionaries (e.g. which have transcription, word forms, how many entries?) - in this printed set (in both books), there is an additional table for your found errata This is not a usual dictionary, so it doesn’t provide any translations or grammar lessons! It is a compact and structured reference list of approximately 40 000 words of the Irish language, together with the grammatical information (e.g. part of speech, gender, declension type, transitivity of verbs, etc.). The book also lists all corresponding word forms (including verbal nouns and adjectives) and directs to their base forms. This book is intended for language learners and linguists who may want to search for unknown word forms. It is recommended to use this book alongside a proper dictionary. Examples of entries: ábhach : {m1} (gs, npl: ^aigh, gpl: ~); ábhach : gpl <= ~; ábhaigh : gs, npl <= ábhach {m1}
