This full colour short guide with 19 illustrations overviews the life and works of the renowned porcelain decorator and manufacturer William Billingsley. The story starts from his apprenticeship at Derby and follows him through the establishment of the Pinxton and Torksey factories, his time at Worcester and work in founding the Swansea and Nantgarw porcelain factories.
MORGAN DENYER
Dr Morgan Denyer was educated at The University College of North Wales Bangor where he gained a BSc and PhD. He then worked as a research scientist at The University of Glasgow and a Research Fellow at RIKEN (Institute of Physical and Chemical Research), Wako, Saitama, Japan before becoming a Lecturer at The University of Bradford. During this time Morgan published over 60 journal papers and patents. He and his wife Rachel established Penrose Antiques Ltd in 2010. Morgan currently works full time in the antiques trade but still lectures at the University of Bradford as an Honorary member of staff.
