Background and Objective

The book comprises nine chapters: Financial Mathematics, Inflation, Interest and Cost of Capital, Investment appraisal, Financial and Economic Analysis, Cost Allocation to Cogeneration Projects, Project Analysis under Uncertainties, Overview of Energy Markets and Price Mechanisms and finally Case Studies. The text part is supported by about 25 tables, 40 figures, 55 application examples and 7 Case Studies.

Panos Konstantin
Panos Konstantin, born in Greece, is a retired engineer with a German University degree (Dipl.-Ing.). He has been involved as expert and project manager in a large number of projects for utility and industrial energy systems. He has conducted training courses on related subjects.
He has been working in different countries such as Russia, Uzbekistan, Thailand, Malaysia, India, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arabian Emirates, Australia, South Africa and of course all over Europe.
His books reflect the knowledge drawn from 35 years' experience as a consultant for engineering and economics of power and energy system projects worldwide.
His first book with the title “Praxisbuch Energiewirtschaft” was published in September 2006, its 4th edition will be published in 2016.
