How can capacity bottlenecks in road freight transport, which is largely determined by the shortage of driving personnel, be tackled? This study provides comprehensive answers to this question and related aspects. The study not only measures the shortage of driving personnel in road freight transport in particular and analyzes its causes and effects, but also compiles, analyzes and evaluates how the shortage can be addressed through measures to increase efficiency or to attract and retain driving personnel. It turns out that with the use of the right measures, the bottlenecks in road freight transport can already be countered today.
