This book provides an overview of the artistic work of Irena Lagator Pejović and Jelena Micić to date. In their installations, art objects, and special interventions, the two artists examine the material conditions of the Anthropocene age. In this context, materiality serves not only as a medium, but also as a critical instrument. Their works reveal how close the links are between materiality and global capitalism, exploitation, inequality, and environmental crisis. Fragments of consumption are condensed into a visual language that questions dominant narratives on progress and links local stories with global processes. Through this approach, Lagator and Micić raise questions around responsibility, sustainability, and collective visions for the future.
