In January 2021, Switzerland became an official supporter of the Task-force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD). Since then, the Swiss Federal Council has directed the State Secretariat for International Finance (SIF), in collaboration with the Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN), to work on a proposed law in consultation with the corporate sector and industry associations, with the goal of making the TCFD recommendations legally enforceable.
