Switzerland has one of the best, but also one of the most expensive healthcare systems in the world. In order to maintain the quality of health care, but at the same time curb the increase in costs, the system must adapt to new needs and opportunities. The pressure for transformation is increasing, but what can be done? What are the biggest levers for faster and cheaper healthcare? Where lies the greatest potential, what are the greatest challenges of change? In a new study, the Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute examines how the healthcare ecosystem will change in the next ten to 20 years. How will structures, processes, relationships and expectations adapt to the digital health ecosystem? What is the "next practice" in healthcare? An expert survey on theses in the health care system provides the initial data for the considerations. The study is being commissioned by various healthcare companies (DXC, walkerproject ag, Post AG, Helsana, Hirslanden, Medbase Group, SWICA, Swiss Medical Network).
