It also explores what family and tradition means as it describes their chance encounter and unfolding entanglement in an apparent romantic triangle. The author is a poet, familiar with both countries. She provides authentic detail of the landscapes and lifestyles involved, considering the influences of early experience and environment, especially how love and necessity interact.
