I've been working with several good companies in several good positions such as export merchant, teacher for adults and IT project manager. All the time, I had good reasons to be happy with my work, my teams, our results - just everything!
However, I learned from many other people that this seems to be exceptional luck! Some of those don't live any more. They couldn't stand the working conditions they had to face and were not able to defend themselves.
This lead me to the idea of a novel about Egon Schmidt, who suffers from some of those evil circumstances while working in an authority, after satisfying positions like my own, in several good companies. Let's see how he can - or cannot - withstand them!
