This book addresses the intelligence test-battery AID (Adaptive Intel- ligence Diagnosticum; Kubinger, 2017; Kubinger & Holocher-Benetka, 2023). As a supplement to the respective manuals, it emphasizes the underlying mindset of that test-battery with regard to its intended practical use. In particular, it aims to illuminate a test taker’s cognitive risk factors, protective factors, and developmental-promoting factors, thereby supporting enhancement-oriented assessment – including the potential for a screening with regard to hypothesizing some specific learning disorders/ partial performance weaknesses. The book provides vital support to the AID manuals.
