This work presents the development and characterizati on of an aerated high-pressure reactor for biotechnological applicati ons. Enzymati c oxidati on reacti ons are investi - gated at pressures up to 15 MPa with the aim of overcoming oxygen mass transfer limitati ons. Opti cal oxygen sensors are employed for reliable online measurements under high-pressure conditi ons, and gas–liquid mass transfer is experimentally analyzed. Based on the results, a scalable reactor concept for intensifi ed biotechnological processes is proposed.
