Beschreibung

The first volume of this book series deals with stereostatics. Starting with the fundamentals and Newton's axioms, statics is developed step by step.

A special emphasis is placed on solving examples using computer-aided methods such as Matlab or SolidWorks FEM, which clearly distinguishes this book from other literature on technical mechanics. This approach also provides insights into solving examples in industrial applications at the workplace.

As Henry Ford once said, "There are more people who surrender than those who fail." This book aims to help transform those who surrender into motivated students and to show that mechanics is more than just the sum of all forces that balance each other.

The translation was done with the help of artificial intelligence. A subsequent human revision was done primarily in terms of content.

The Content Includes:

- Fundamentals: isolating force systems, rope corner, and closure line methods
- Structural Stability: center of gravity theory, friction/adhesion, trusses, and structures
- Resultant Forces: surface and line loads
- Elastic Supports: rope statics and catenary curves
- Hinged Beams and Three-Hinged Arches: virtual work and power
- Applications of Statics in Industry

The Author

Ing. EUR ING Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Dipl.-Wirt.-Ing. (FH) Andreas Huber, is a scientist, inventor, project manager, teacher and author. He graduated from HTBLuVA – Salzburg (Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Plant Engineering) and then studied at the University of Applied Science in Mittweida in the Faculty of Engineering Sciences, specializing Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics. Additionally, he works in the industry in the fields of development, design, and project management of prototypes and has completed several additional certifications in various computer programs. He also completed a second degree in economics and business management in order to be able to apply business administration in industry as well as teaching.
