Wolfgang Frindte, Prof. emeritus, Dr. phil. habil, holds a degree in psychology (Diplompsychologe) from Friedrich Schiller University Jena (1974), earned his doctorate in 1981, and completed his habilitation in 1986. From 2008 to 2017, he was head of the Department of Communication Psychology at the Institute for Communication Studies at Friedrich Schiller University Jena. From 1998 to 2005, he held a visiting professorship in communication and social psychology at the University of Innsbruck. From February to April 2004, he was a fellow at the Bucerius Institute at the University of Haifa (Israel).
