The book teaches the basics of solving equations and inequalities in easily understandable language. Dr. Guido Walz is professor of applied mathematics at the Wilhelm Büchner University, Darmstadt, Germany and lecturer at the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University, editor of the five-volume "Lexikon der Mathematik" as well as author of numerous specialist publications and textbooks, e.g. "Mathematik für Hochschule und duales Studium".
