From Contextual to Ecumenical Theology?

The emergence of «contextual» Third World theologies, the specific reflections within Christian-Jewish-dialogue and efforts towards an ecumenical theology form the framework for this study. It creates an ecumenical dialogue between South-Korean Minjung theology and West-German «theology after Auschwitz», both of which are analyzed and confronted in terms of context, peculiarities and theological topics (methodology/hermeneutics, exegesis, christology, ecclesiology, political theology). This dialogue is a contribution to an ecumenical hermeneutics and shows substantial challenges for an ecumenical theology.
