One of many goals of numerous International Schools is to be culturally, ethnically, and traditionally open/minded. For that reason, most International Schools offer language support to students who speak a different language (L1) within their home than in their school. In our case the school target language is English (L2). As a result of that, various home-language students read and speak fluently within their L1, but found it difficult to write in their L1. For that reason, to overcome their nervousness students concentrated on writing for a purpose.
