The 3rd International Workshop on Interfaces to Databases was held at Napier University, Edinburgh, Scotland, from 8-10 July 1996. It is one of the only workshops to address the relationship between human-computer interaction and database research - recently voted one of the most important topics for future research by the DB community. Among the topics covered by the papers are: UIMS for databases; usability evaluation of database interfaces; query interfaces; generic database interfaces; multi-dimensional database interfaces; virtual reality database interfaces; and requirements.
