INSPECT is a DOS-based system for exploratory analysis of multivariate data. It provides a set of mathematical tools for the interpretation of multivariate data, including principal component analysis, multiple linear regression, cluster analysis, and neural network modeling. INSPECT has been designed to be an easy-to-use tool in everyday work of scientists and engineers with experimental data. The software package includes a 215 pp handbook. Over 250 commands provide the basis for editing, displaying, analyzing and modeling of data. All major types of charts can be generated, including an on-screen 3D-rotation of data. A parser for mathematical formulas allows the processing of the data by entering almost arbitrary formulas.
