MOBY is a successful program for molecular modelling on the
PC. This specialedition at a special offer price will fill
you with enthusiasm for MOBY! This student edition of MOBY
has a somewhat reduced range of functions as compared to the
full-priced version. The main functions (3D graphic display
of up to 2000 centers, force field calculations with
conformational analysis, two quantum mechanical calculation
methods) are, however, at your disposal.
To run MOBY, an industrial standard computer with 640 kByte
RAM (530 kByte free) and an 80x87 arithmetic coprocessor are
required. The operating system should be MS-DOS 2.x or
higher, the graphic display adaptor can be Hercules, EGA or
VGA, and a mouse is recommended.
The MOBY Student Edition is an inexpensive offer for a powerful software package for molecular modelling. It can be run on any normal PC.
