Beschreibung

The study describes the energy supply in India, which is based to nearly 60% on coal. The power situation in India is critical and powercuts are common, economic growth is threatened. To overcome this situation and to cope with future demand, India needs liberalization and deregularization of the whole sector to attract the huge monetary resources necessary also to build and modernize coal mines, benefication plants and the necessary infrastructure for handling and transport.
