The geology of an area of aproximately 3500 square kilometers, located in Northern Ivory Coast is described in this report. The rocks of this region may be subdivided into a greenstone-granitoid terrane and a gneiss-granitoid terrane. They include supracrustals (greenschist facies) and intrusive rocks of the Birimian Supergroup and their higher grade metamorphic equivalents, such as less abundant rocks of the Tarkwaian Group and late kinematic basin-type granitoids, all of Palaeoproterozoic age. The region was mapped at a scale of 1:50000 and a geological map at the scale of 1:100000 was compiled, which is included in this report. The report describes the geochemistry of the rocks mapped and the structure of the studied area
