Beschreibung

The third and final supplement to volumes 21-23 of the FEW (Walther von Wartburg's »Französisches Etymologisches Wörterbuch« = Etymological Dictionary of French) proposes new, in some cases hitherto unpublished solutions, and contains bibliographic information, indications for further reading, corrections, predatings, etc. It also has a number of additions to the material published in Etymologies 1 and 2. The volume closes with a complete index to all three supplements to the FEW and a selected bibliography.
