Product Standards for Geosynthetics

This Handbook includes the trilingual (English, French and German) standard DIN EN ISO 10318 "Geosynthetics - Terms and definitions (ISO 10318:2005)", which covers the basic international terminology used in this sector. Also included is a selection of the most important European product standards (in English) dealing with geosynthetic barriers, geotextiles and geotextile-related products. These documents give manufacturers, designers and users of geosynthetics access to essential information regarding required characteristics, procedures for conformity assessment, relevant aspects of the European Construction Products Directive (89/106/EEC) and details of on-site quality control necessary for CE-marking.
