A Generative Grammar of Old Frisian

Beschreibung

This grammar is intended for students of Old Frisian and Old English. The syntax and morphophonology are presented within the theoretical framework established by the American generativists Noam Chomsky and Morris Halle. New alternatives are offered with respect to the genera- tion of moods, passive constructions, adverbs, adverb clauses, pre- positional phrases, prepositions, (multiple) negative formatives, and cases.
