This supplement deals with data from cell cultures of different kinds, brain tissue slices and (brain) animal models related to aging and Alzheimer's disease. Results presented concern structural, metabolic and behavioral aspects with the aim to provide approaches which mimic biological variations in the aging and Alzheimer brain to better understand the pathogenesis of the latter disorder.
