God shows himself by withdrawing himself. If one wants to speak of God's revelation, one must always speak of withdrawal. Patrick Ebert discusses the connection between revealing and withdrawing by drawing on the phenomenology of Levinas, Derrida and Waldenfels, and based on this he develops a concept of a theology of revelation.
This study was awarded the Manfred Lautenschlaeger Award for Theological Promise 2022.
