The concept of intertheology includes the idea that forward-looking cooperation between theologies is plausible, particularly in light of the thesis that, in the history of Judaism, Christianities, and Islam, key theological ideas and concepts have always emerged intertheologically – that is, in creative, complex, and sometimes conflict-laden processes of interaction, appropriation, and differentiation.
