This study examines the relationships and entanglements between the Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED) and the communist parties of Italy (PCI) and France (PCF). It analyzes constellations of reciprocal influence in the period 1968 to 1989/90 while also critically cross-referencing other, non-socialist, non-communist forces.
